I tried to get a couple of photos on Tuesday, but it was rainy and crappy and I was busy and blah blah blah. So here’s the adorable cover of RI Monthly magazine, taken as I waited to get my car serviced on Wednesday.

Joshua had a blast at the hockey game on Sunday afternoon. We sat in the front row (so spoiled) and felt like we were part of the game. His favorite part, though, was the Zamboni. I guess if his hockey career doesn’t work out, he can drive the Zamboni. Or perhaps he’ll be the photographer.

It doesn’t take much to keep Joshua entertained; just some simple prompts and his active imagination. Today was rainy and windy — pretty stormy. So we just ran some errands and were lazy around the house later on, watching a movie and playing a few games of Chutes and Ladders. The temperature reached 61F today;

It was snowing Friday morning, and I snapped a few photos on my phone during my morning commute. I thought they looked better cropped wider, and in black and white. Unfortunately, rain later in the day and tomorrow has washed the snow away.

Joshua’s Chia cat grass has sprouted up rather quickly. I guess that makes it a good plant for kids — little water, light, and work, and quick results. When this is about another inch taller, the cats will get to enjoy it, although one of them already got into it a bit the other night.

My mother has a project going on right now, framing old photos of her family to display on her wall. These two are my great-grandparents, James and Lillian Kyle (aka, Nana and Grandpa Kyle). There is a local place that does photo restoration. We’re hoping they’ll be able to help us with the photo of
