August was a crazy month. Between illnesses, a hurricane, and even an earthquake (which was nothing, but was interesting), I fell behind on my “Picture Inspiration” workshop. Here are the pictures I chose for the last few weeks. Week 25: Well Balanced The assignment was to take photos of things that are balanced in nature.

Sunflowers on Mom’s table. She got power back on Tuesday night and we had power back by late Thursday afternoon. Hooray!

Half of the neighborhood got power back on Tuesday. We weren’t so lucky, but the stars were brilliant in the other direct. Usually, we can barely see them because of the street lights.

I think I actually took this on day 241, but shhh… things were a little hectic this week.

We lost power during Hurricane Irene, but were lucky to be spared any significant damage to the house. Candles and flashlights were our friends for the next few days.

I took Josh to the Mystic Aquarium this morning. We had plans to go this weekend, and I figured we had some time before the storm started. Also, we’ll be stuck in the house tomorrow, so I wanted to let him get out for a while. He loved all the fish (esp. the "Nemos"), and

Working on my "Picture Inspiration" assignment for the week; this week, it’s all about bags. I might have a slight obsession with Vera Bradley bags. This is my current fave.
