Today’s assignment was to photograph sweet treats. We don’t have candy (no trick-or-treaters), so all I had in the house to work with was the pumpkin bread I baked last night. Yum. Maybe I should have also photographed the delicious pumpkin pancakes I had at IHOP tonight, too. So good.

It was pumpkin picture day. I put my efforts into making pumpkin bread tonight, so I did my assignment quickly. I liked this one of the stem the best. Will have to take another photo after I carve it. 🙂

Today we were tasked with taking a “different” kind of leaf photo. Mother Nature helped me out here. The trees around the house are now bare from a few days of wind and rain, and my mums are completely covered in leaves. With the raindrops added, I thought they looked pretty cool.

Yesterday’s assignment was to capture some fall colors. I have been trying to do that all month, and especially liked a picture of my mums that I took on Saturday. So, I used that. Today’s assignment was to seek out some openness. The basic idea was that we all pack our days so tightly, that

Yesterday, we were challenged to do a little photo editing to enhance a picture of a silhouette taken at dusk. I tried to edit a couple of shots with Photoshop. Left: Before, Right: After with yellow added Left: Before, Right: After with magenta added Nothing major. I like the way the second one came out.

I didn’t exactly capture an act of kindness for my assignment today, but I did capture a result. I’ve been wanting to make Swedish Apple Pie, but haven’t had a chance. So my mother asked me to bring some of my apples to her today and she made the pie. While watching my son. And

Today, we were asked to “capture a connection … that makes you happy.” This dog was supposed to be Joshua’s, but Bailey quickly claimed it for snuggling. I think it’s the cutest thing.

Today’s assignment was actually to show something other than leaves scattered, but I only had time to take a few photos at lunch time, so this will have to do. Also, this was taken using my regular point-and-shoot, because taking these photos was a last-minute decision, on my way home from dropping off Josh. One
