This hasn’t been a very good week. I suppose that’s bound to happen sometimes. But as I left hockey tonight, I saw this gorgeous sunset. (Which I wish I had captured better, because it was just amazing.) Red at night, sailor’s delight. Yeah, I think tomorrow is going to be a much better day.

I just love this little farm. Except maybe when it’s time to fertilize (with manure). Then, it’s pretty stinky. But I still think it’s cute.

Apparently, I forgot to post a photo for Monday. And take one, actually. The only one I had taken was of the sunset on my way home, so that will have to do. I also took a sunset photo on Tuesday. So predictable. I threw in a bench photo to mix it up a bit.

There was more fun to be had at the fair on Sunday afternoon. Josh enjoyed the rides, and his favorite feathered friends. At one point, he asked for a certain stuffed animal, which you had to win at the “shoot the water gun at the clown’s mouth and be the first to get your monkey

The deer have been out and about quite a bit lately during the day. They normally turn and run away as soon as I slow down the car, but this one stayed for a minute and let me attempt to get a photo with my iPhone.

This weekend was the Washington County Fair, Rhode Island’s state fair. My family goes every year and enjoys the food, animals, rides, competitions, and concerts, in addition to made-in-RI items for sale. This year, I entered the photo contest for the first time and actually won a few ribbons! We were also able to see

I bunked Zumba tonight and went for a walk instead. The weather has been so gorgeous lately; I just wanted to enjoy it and all the beautiful scenery. I caught some of the lovely sunset on the way home, as well.

The hummingbirds were out in full force today as I worked from home. There were at least two out there, chasing each other around the backyard, stopping to take drinks at the feeder and from the flowers. I captured some photos of one of them (I believe just one) at lunch time. A very pretty

Josh picked me some flowers yesterday, with grandma’s help. “What kind of flowers are they?” I asked. “I don’t know. I think they’re some sort of weeds.” Prettiest weeds I’ve ever seen. 🙂
