Picture Fall | Day 27

Today we were tasked with taking a “different” kind of leaf photo. Mother Nature helped me out here. The trees around the house are now bare from a few days of wind and rain, and my mums are completely covered in leaves. With the raindrops added, I thought they looked pretty cool.

Yesterday’s assignment was to capture some fall colors. I have been trying to do that all month, and especially liked a picture of my mums that I took on Saturday. So, I used that. Today’s assignment was to seek out some openness. The basic idea was that we all pack our days so tightly, that

“Ugh,” I grumbled as I read today’s assignment. Using the self-timer. That meant I had to be in the picture. Gross. But, I decided to have some fun with it and took some pictures of me and Josh playing on the swing set this afternoon. I have a policy of not posting photos of people

Experimenting with it has definitely inspired me to take more pictures, be more creative with my photos,

Friday’s assignment was to “seek out the message you need to hear most today.” When Joshua wanted to read the “fishie” book by Dr. Seuss, the quote on the first page caught my attention. Why is this the message I needed to hear most? Because I have been too worried, stressed, sad and serious lately.
