[226/365] Let It Snow

We had our first snowfall of the season this morning. Joshua was beyond excited. Not much accumulated, but I was glad that some of it was still around for me when I got back home. It was dark, but I grabbed a flashlight to get some snow pics. I may not have seen the sun […]

[225/365] Peek-a-Boo Moon

My Veterans’ Day mainly consisted of taking advantage of some sales and teaching Joshua how to play checkers. (I also introduced him to fortune cookies, which he thinks are the coolest cookies ever. Well, maybe second to maple leaf cookies.) Nothing too patriotic, although we did take a moment to send my uncle a photo

[224/365] Boom

It was a crazy P-Bruins v Hartford Wolf Pack game this afternoon. There was a whole bunch of fighting, including a goalie fight. And a whole bunch of scoring on the P-Bruins’ side. They won, 6-0. It was definitely an entertaining game, although I was slightly disturbed when the Hartford goalie took an extra-hard slapshot

[222/365] Leaf Collection

I think this week’s “Finish the Sentence Friday” topic was my favorite of this link-up ever — and they always prove to be entertaining. [221/365] Bare

I’ve felt compelled to write more this week, and in turn, have been slacking on the photos. I usually get the shakes when I haven’t taken a photo in like ten minutes, but I didn’t seem to have the bug over these past couple of days. I guess it doesn’t help that I haven’t been

Writer’s Workshop: Giving Back

3.) Write a 16-line poem about a moment from your childhood that changed your life for the better. I can’t think of one particular moment from my childhood that changed my life for the better, but I do remember a series of activities that helped me change others’ lives: community service projects. I played with

MixTape: The Pick Me Up Mix

I’ve had a bit of a rough patch again lately. There have been some great days, but still some tough emotions. Fun with Joshua, but also feelings of anxiety, stress, frustration, and loneliness. So, when I saw that this week’s Mix Tape was a “Dealer’s Choice,” I decided I needed some feel-good songs. Music has
