While I was in the kitchen yesterday, I heard a noise. At first, I thought it was one of the cats, but as I walked into the living room, I realized it was one of Joshua’s remote control cars (the bus pictured here). It had apparently moved itself halfway across the room. (Did I mention

Sunday’s rain and wind storm dumped more leaves. The ones from Mom’s Japanese Maple looked lovely on her steps, but I don’t think she was too happy about having to rake them up… again.

At the first sign of chest and sinus congestion and a temp of 100F, I turned to some favorite home remedies — chicken soup, salsa, garlic pills, and Airborne. I hope something helps. So far, the sinuses have cleared a bit but I mainly feel like I’ve been hit by a bus. Stupid germs.

Saturday was a gorgeous day, a perfect day for a walk. It was nice to take in some fresh air and get in some exercise. I haven’t been getting either nearly enough lately.
